Job Description
We are hiring a HR Assistant to join a top consumer goods company in Plantation, FL. This freelance position will run for 6 months with potential to extend and will be hybrid, 3 days per week in their Plantation office.
Responsibilities:- Act as a primary point of contact for Team Member inquiries—resolving questions via inbound/outbound calls, ServiceNow tickets, and other channels by applying HR knowledge and research
- Provide Tier 1 support across core HR service areas, including benefits, payroll, leaves of absence, and accommodations
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as internal policies and procedures
- Identify key moments in the employee lifecycle and partner with leaders to deliver positive and memorable experiences
- Offer feedback and recommendations to improve HR services, programs, and procedures
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), job aids, and other reference materials to support HR operations
- Maintain accurate and organized records, files, and documentation
- Support HR projects and take on additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications:- 1–3+ years of HR experience
- Must have UKG Pro WFM experience and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field (preferred)
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification (preferred)
- Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, Kronos, or Greenhouse (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and active listening
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
- Customer service mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement
- Flexibility to adjust your work schedule based on business needs
- Proven ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
