Position: Security Forensics Engineer
Location: Redmond, Washington
Duration: Contract
Pay Range:  $68.18/hour to $87.12/hour

Must have: Digital Forensics & Incident Response, Manual Investigation / Threat Hunting, UAT, Scripting & Automation

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Forensics Engineer to join our team in Redmond, Washington. This role involves leading digital forensics investigations, performing live system analysis, and responding rapidly to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of experience in the field and will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lead digital forensics investigations.
• Perform live system analysis and memory forensics.
• Execute rapid response to security incidents.
• Develop custom forensics scripts and tools.
• Automate investigation workflows.
• Create detailed forensics reports.
• Document investigation methodologies.
• Maintain case management systems.
• Prepare legal evidence packages.
• Generate executive summaries.
• Review and provide operational requirements to product and engineering teams.
• Write operational test cases and perform UAT on operational features.
• Write standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Perform manual investigations using integrated tools and platforms.

Qualifications:

• 6-8 years of experience in digital forensics and security incident response.
• Proficiency in live system analysis and memory forensics.
• Experience in developing custom forensics scripts and tools.
• Strong ability to automate investigation workflows.
• Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
• Experience in maintaining case management systems.
• Ability to prepare legal evidence packages and executive summaries.
• Strong understanding of operational requirements and UAT processes.
• Proficiency in writing SOPs and performing manual investigations.

Pay Range: $38.18 - $87.12

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
