Job Title: Healthcare Patient Services Representative
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Healthcare Patient Services Representative to join our client and provide essential support within a fast-paced call center environment. This remote contract position is open to candidates residing within one hour of Philadelphia, PA. In this role, you will assist patients by triaging inbound calls and directing them to the appropriate departments, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery.
Compensation:
• $18.00/hour
Work Schedule:
• Call center operates 7 days a week. Candidates must be available between 8:00 AM – 8:15 PM.
• Full-time schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts, 37.5 hours weekly.
• Flexibility to work weekends and most holidays is required (closed on Christmas and Easter).
• Initial training: 3–4 weeks, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no time off permitted during training).
Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Patient Services Representative:
• Answer and triage inbound calls, directing patients to the correct departments.
• Provide clear, courteous, and professional communication with patients and internal teams.
• Document call details accurately to ensure proper tracking and follow-up.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare terminology and policies to ensure appropriate call handling.
• Deliver high-quality service while adhering to call center performance and compliance standards.
Qualifications and Skills for the Healthcare Patient Services Representative:
• Prior call center experience is required.
• Background in healthcare or medical terminology strongly preferred.
• Experience with Medicare is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills and ability to remain professional in high-volume situations.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays.
