Description We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join a dynamic and fast-paced Corporate Finance team located in Pasadena, CA. This is a direct hire opportunity on a hybrid schedule but does require a candidate to work onsite during in-office scheduled days. The ideal candidate will possess a strong accounting and analytical background along with excellent technical accounting expertise. Proficient Excel skills, effective communication (both written and verbal), and an enjoyment of collaborative work environments are key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities This position focuses on Financial Planning and Analysis (FP& A) within the Corporate Finance Department. Primary responsibilities include: + Updating and maintaining property-level financial projections using Argus software and the company's corporate REIT earnings projection model. + Reviewing executed and draft leases to interpret leasing terms accurately for financial modeling. + Preparing and distributing strategy call notes and processing lease assumption changes. + Performing periodic roll-ups of projection data into the corporate financial projection model. + Uploading projection data into JD Edwards and analyzing fluctuations. + Conducting financial and significant lease assumption analyses, forecasting financial metrics, and preparing reports. + Collaborating with cross-departmental teams such as Accounting and Asset Management. + Assisting with quarterly and annual reporting requirements and preparing financial schedules. + Completing property-level analyses and ad-hoc assignments as needed. Requirements Qualifications and Requirements To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications: + Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration. Coursework or emphasis in accounting required if the degree is in Finance or Business Administration. + Strong knowledge of GAAP. + Prior experience in public accounting is highly preferred, with additional preference for candidates who have completed at least 3 busy seasons of audit at a Big 4 firm. + Understanding of lease accounting is a plus. + 3+ years of related experience required + Real estate experience is a plus but not required. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, with advanced skills considered a strong plus. + Experience with JD Edwards is beneficial.
