Based in our Modesto HQ with hybrid flexibility, you'll be the linchpin ensuring financial integrity, compliance (GAAP, GASB, FMO, USDA), and strategic financial management. If you thrive on accuracy, leadership, and contributing to a unique and dynamic environment (we embrace our "nutty" side!), this is your opportunity. **Your Impact & Responsibilities:** + **Lead & Develop:** Guide, mentor, and manage the Finance Department, fostering a culture of accuracy and continuous improvement. + **Ensure Financial Integrity:** Oversee all accounting operations, including journal entries, GL management, AP, AR, fixed assets, and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations and internal policies. + **Deliver Actionable Insights:** Prepare and present clear, accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and analyses to key stakeholders (Staff, Board, Committees). + **Strengthen Controls & Compliance:** Champion best-practice internal controls, lead successful audits (external and compliance), and continuously refine accounting policies and systems. + **Optimize Financial Resources:** Manage daily cash flow, banking relationships (domestic/international/FX), investment of idle funds, and grant compliance. + **Drive Strategic Improvements:** Identify and implement enhancements to accounting systems, business practices, and financial processes. **Qualifications We're Looking For:** + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Business field. + 10+ years of comprehensive accounting/finance experience. + 5+ years successfully leading and supervising finance/accounting teams. + Deep understanding of GAAP (GASB, FMO, USDA knowledge is a strong plus). + Demonstrated ability to manage audits, develop controls, and improve processes. + Exceptional communication, organizational skills, accuracy, and discretion. **Pay Details:** $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable: + The California Fair Chance Act + Los Angeles City Fair Chance Ordinance + Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers + San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
