Job Description

Description We are in search of a Controller to join the team in our Non-Profit organization located in San Fernando Valley, California. Your main role will be to supervise the accounting and finance department, ensure the proper functioning of all systems, and address all queries related to finance and accounting in a timely and efficient manner. Responsibilities - Supervise the accounting and finance department to ensure efficient functioning - Ensure all financial procedures and internal controls are maintained effectively - Stay updated with the best practices in non-profit auditing and federal laws related to non-profit operations - Oversee the preparation of financial statements and monthly financial reporting - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable - Ensure compliance with GAAP and other legal and regulatory requirements related to financial functions - Coordinate audits and ensure proper filing of tax returns - Handle month-end close and journal entries - Oversee the budget processes and ensure they align with the organization's financial goals - Utilize accounting software systems for efficient management of accounting functions. Requirements - A minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role or related financial management field - Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems - Extensive knowledge and experience in handling Accounting Functions - Expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) - Proven experience in Auditing procedures - Familiarity with Budget Processes and financial planning - Ability to handle Month End Close procedures - Experience in preparing and processing Journal Entries - Capability to Prepare Financial Statements accurately and within deadlines - Proficiency in Monthly Financial Reporting and analysis Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
