Job Title: Buyer Job Description This role involves overseeing purchasing and procurement activities to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services. The successful candidate will monitor supply inventory levels, coordinate restocking efforts, evaluate supplier markets, and streamline procurement processes. Responsibilities + Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements. + Inspect incoming shipments to verify accuracy against technical documents and drawings. + Maintain organized documentation related to purchasing, receiving, and vendor interactions. + Implement policies and procedures for tracking key metrics, driving efficiency, and optimizing spending. + Assist in logistical planning for shipping and receiving operations to improve workflow. + Support office operations, including organization of common areas and general administrative tasks. + Provide troubleshooting support to resolve system issues impacting procurement and inventory management. + Process purchase orders and assist with the transition to Netsuite. + Help manage credit limits and cash flow issues as the procurement team expands. Essential Skills + Experience in procurement and ERP systems. + Ability to handle purchase orders and manage a high volume of SKUs. + Experience in a regulated environment such as aerospace, medical device, or automotive. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including vlookup and pivot tables. + Strong planning and scheduling skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1 year of experience in purchasing for entry-level positions; 4+ years for more advanced roles. + Experience with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP. + Knowledge of ITAR compliance. + Background in electronics or small parts purchasing. Work Environment This position is 100% onsite with working hours from 9 to 5, offering some flexibility as long as core hours from 10 to 3 are covered. The team consists of 35 people, and you will be the main purchasing person with support from executives and the production manager. The company is expanding rapidly, so adaptability and a proactive approach are essential. There is a focus on creating a collaborative environment where no task is too small, and self-motivation is highly valued. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
